SIN'S STILL IN THE HOUSE.
"Who can believe that there is no soul behind those luminous eyes!" - Theophile Gautier
After the heavy material of yesterday's post, I decided to go easy on you guys and celebrate the Friday feel with a scowl from the king of our household - he does indeed think he is the king, or 'da man' as Suby would say. Jazz has perfected going around the house like he owns it, ignoring us, 'puny humans' until the next meal, spread-eagled on his back with paws in the air, dreaming of mice and birds, into an art form.
We spent quality time today, as I finally got around to tidying the study. As I went through boxes and heaps of rubbish, Jazz patiently sprawled himself over the desk and kept waitching with meticulous care in between catnaps. As the heat gave way to thunder storms, and dull grey turned into sepia skies in stifling summer's heat, Jazz did not move an inch. As sepia skies welcomed the cool blue breeze of the night, we made our way downstairs. As I sat on the couch, shedding the day's heat and exhaustion, drowning the day's end in a glass of wine, Jazz put his paws in my hand and fell asleep on his back.
Jazz, our little tiger, spoiled little brat; really deep down inside, just a little cat with a huge heart.

*** URGENT APPEAL*** All bloggers out there, I need your support and encouragement in the battle of wills with Suby; as Hemingway's said "One cat just leads to another", hence I am ready to adopt a new cat despite Suby's protests. Any bribes, cash or cheque, offered to Suby, or any form of peer pressure, emotional blackmail, persuasive speech is most welcome.***
