Very nicely done, you've really enhanced the "old". I've posted a shot of this street. Hope you both feel better soon.
I like this one Suby. Nice work.

Lovely shot, the buildings there are pretty novel for someone from NZ. Stamford was the first place I visited in England but I couldn't afford to stay at the George!

Not easy getting a great shot through a windscreen. Well done
now this is a shot id like to have taken...beautiful tonal variation over a b/w...hope you guys get better soon...
Lovely image. Great range of tones, nice and moody. How did you keep everyone off the streets?

Get well soon. David.
Lonely car in a ghost like street looks fab.Get well soon folks
It looks dark and brooding, and I love the red taillights. (:o)
What a gorgeous photo! I like the lack of color, bar the red, the setting is utterly devine and the mood stimulating. :o)

This really is very lovely, S/S. It's actually my kind of shot, if that makes sense. smile

So sorry you both haven't been well. Maybe it was the Universe's way of slowing you both down? Please get well soon.
Your pp turns what probably started as an average shot into one infused with an air of mystery and full of potential stories. I am impressed and I very much like the end result.
Im with Ginnie. If i took a cool image like that i would have fiddled with it preety much like you did. Suby go to the gym and please take care of the lovely Sinem. The summer is almost over when is our UK shutterchance do?

Really good processing, turns the image into something else with the spot colours as well. Good presentation as well.

A feast for the eyes. Even with the grain and high saturation, there is so much detail to look at. I think this is one of the best pictures you have posted on SC.
Suby & Sinem: Aaaww, thanks Ray, that certainly is a comment worth framing :d

Cool, with strong moody atmosphere.

Your great shot of St. Martins street epitomises the ambience of much of Stamford, so solid and other-wordly.

As with your photo' we found The George coaching inn by chance and fell entranced. From the outside it looks like many another town hotel (it's the corner building on the right) but we went along Station Road and came in by the cobbled courtyard where the trees were sprinkled with Christmas lights. Just going back home from a holiday and looking for a lunch, we ate then went to have a coffee by the roaring fire in the lounge and fell asleep. Back in time - a transport café of delight. The George is now a favourite rendezvous and we've met our family there every year since.

This smoky picture brings it all back. I love it. Was it taken in early morning?
Suby & Sinem: Thanke Grae, it was taken at about 19:00hrs, we are so glad this image brings back such memories for you. Thanks for the visit and please do visit again :d

This is a beautiful B&W compostion. Great contrast, tone and POV.
Another good shot, really like the PP.
